Document Description
The project will install two Kamstrup water meters in 'two separate locations at the upper campground in Borrego Palm Canyon. The purpose is to monitor the water usage in those two locations in order to conserve water, a limited resource within the Park. We will dig down and locate the existing distribution line, cut the line, and connect pipe to bring it to the surface so we can install the new meter. Another pipe will connect the meter back down to reconnect with the existing water line. The area of the two digs will be 2' wide by 6' long and 4' deep. When the project is complete, there will be a water meter box 32" long by 21" wide and approximately 2" above the surface. The box will be located near the existing valve boxes.
