Document Description
The Project includes a Nature-Like Fishway and other improvements to improve fish passage on the lower Yuba River at Daguerre Point. The Project is comprised of the Nature-Like Fishway channel, relocation of the existing South Canal Diversion intake including replacement of the existing permeable rockfill fish exclusion structure with a modernized fish screen, filling of the existing South Canal Diversion head pond to create a sloping floodplain restoration area along the shoreline on the south bank of the river, construction and improvement of access roads, and operations and maintenance activities. Yuba County Water Agency adopted an California Environmental Quality Act analysis memorandum and determined the Project is within the scope of the Statewide Restoration General Order Programmatic EIR. The memorandum also serves as an addendum. The Agency also authorized execution of the Yuba River Resilience Initiative Agreement, which includes the Lower Yuba River at Daguerre Point Nature-Like Fishway as a component.
