Document Description
This project will restore Corral Gulch by filling large portions of the incised creek channel/gully with appropriate material from adjacent to the creek in order to raise the stream channel to its original elevation. This will allow water to reoccupy the historic floodplain area. Approximately 23,000 cubic yards of material is needed to fill the gully. Approximately 6 acres of channel will be filled along approximately one mile of stream. Large wood will be added to the channel and floodplain to help retain material/sediment, restore hydrologic processes and increase habitat complexity.
