Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0337-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, City of Mountain View. The Project includes installation of a trash capture boom with three anchor bolts in the concrete bank and the installation of a gravel access area and gate for maintenance purposes. The trash boom will be a floatation structure used to collect floatable debris and trash. The boom will be composed of approximately 5-foot lengths of 6-inch diameter floatable foam sections wrapped in polyvinyl-coated fabric. The fabric wrap will also form a 12-inch skirt below the foam sections, providing sufficient draft to prevent trash from passing beneath the boom. There will be a 5-foot gap in the skirt to allow fish to move freely upstream and downstream past the trash boom structure.
