Document Description
Improvements at the existing Franklin Elementary School would include, but are not limited to, demolition of an existing classroom building, kindergarten classroom building, and two portable classroom buildings; construction of a new two-story classroom building in the northeast portion of the Project Site; modernization improvements to two existing classroom buildings, the assembly and administration building, and library building; repairs to interior and exterior finishes including replacement of doors, windows, restrooms, lunch areas, and plumbing, as needed; repairs to sidewalks, ramps, and hardscape areas throughout the campus; repairs to the existing retaining wall along Van Dyke Avenue; addition of security features; and modernization to existing playground areas. Student and staff capacity would not be increased with implementation of the Proposed Project. The Proposed Project would be completed in phases over multiple years with the first phase scheduled to begin in February 2021.
