The mutual water company's single well is producing water that exceeds acceptable nitrate concentrations and the company has been issued a compliance order to resolve the issue. The mutual water company subsequently secured state grant funding to consolidate with the City of Porterville and construct new water mains and water services to serve the mutual water company service area.
