Document Description
Enhance facility operations at RP-1 and install safety improvements at both RP-1 and RP-4. The safety improvements include modifying an existing roadway within the RP-1 facility and installing a screening wall at RP-4. The facility upgrades and improvements include: RP-1 Disinfection System Upgrades to Tertiary Plant No. 1; and RP-1 Treated Waste Activated Sludge and Primary Effluent Piping Replacement. This includes minor improvements to existing facilities and supporting systems.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project consisting of improvements to the RP-1 operating systems and support facilities at the existing RP-1 and RP-4 facilities have been determined to have no potential to cause significant adverse effects on the environment and will ensure that future operations at RP-1 and RP-4 can be conducted without significant adverse impact. The exceptions to the issuance of categorical exemptions have been evaluated for the proposed project. The proposed project has been determined not to have a potential to cause significant adverse environmental effects as a result of any of the exceptions. Therefore, this proposed action is not forecast to cause any potential for significant adverse environmental impacts and qualifies with the requirements for Class 1 Exemption.
