Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0163-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Allan Dowlat. The project is limited to the installation of two rows of gabion baskets along approximately 200 feet of the right bank of Sutter Creek to prevent erosion from natural flows. Native willow cuttings will be collected onsite and placed in between the rows of gabion baskets and between the eroded bank and the baskets. Disturbed area of the existing bank and fill areas will be seeded with a native seed mix.

This project is exempt under Class 4 because it consists of a minor alteration in the condition of land and will not remove any healthy, mature, scenic trees. It is exempt under class 33(d)(5) because the project consists of stream bank stabilization with native vegetation and other bioengineering techniques to reduce or eliminate erosion in an area less than 5 acres in size.
