Document Description
Removal of non-native vegetation and garbage from the Ventura River floodplain area within Emma Wood State Beach. Vegetation will be cut by hand crews and removed from the site. Regrowth will be treated with herbicide. This project in an effort to address climate change as well as reduce fuel loads. CDPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project. A copy of these requirements may be obtained by submitting a request to the project Environmental Coordinator listed below

If the project is implemented as indicated within the CDPR Project Evaluation Form to ensure the avoidance and/or minimization of adverse impacts to the environment, then it is exempt under CEQA §15301 - Existing Facilities. Class 1 includes maintenance of topographical features without expanding footprint. CEQA §15307 -Action By Regulatory Agency for Protection of Natural Resource. To ensure the enhancement of the natural resource. CEQA §15308 - Actions by Regulatory Agency for Protection of Environment. Removing hazardous materials from the Natural resource area. CEQA §15330 - Minor Actions to Prevent Release of Hazardous Waste or Substance. Minor cleanup activities with removal activities under $1 million dollars.
