Reasons for Exemption
This project is exempt under Cal. Code Regs., Title 14, 15301 Existing Facilities because project will include development of manufacturing tools for fabrication of tandem perovskite-on-silicon solar modules in an existing laboratory. The anticipated research experiments anticipated for this project will be conducted within existing structures involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. In addition, research will include data collection and will not result in a serious or major disturbance to any environmental resources. Therefore, this project is exempt under California Code of Regulations, title 14, § 15306, Information Collection. None of the prohibitions to these categorical exemptions apply.
