Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0067-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to USS-POSCO Industries. The project is limited to wharf repair. Twelve (12) existing, damaged, creosote-treated timber piles will be removed and replaced with 18-inch-diameter treated (1.5 pounds per cubic foot ammoniacal copper zinc arsenate (ACZA)) timber piles. Pile removal and installation will be performed from a barge-mounted crane or from a land-based crane. Also, up to 80 feet of damaged creosote-treated limber wales and chocks will be removed and replaced with treated timber wales and chocks (0.6 pounds per cubic foot ACZA) of the same dimension. Finally, 12 damaged rubber fenders will be removed and replaced with rubber fenders of similar size and shape.
