Document Description
The Department of Toxic Substances Control (OTSC) pursuant Is proposing the approval of the "Interim Measures Work Plan, Chem Mill Area, Former East Complex, Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC Site), Hawthorne, California, dated May 20, 2017 (IM Workplan). This Interim measure (IM) will remedlate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in ground water within the Bellflower B-Horizon one ground water aquifer utilizing enhanced In situ bioremedlatlon (EISB) with a biorecirculatlon system beneath Chem Mill Area. The VOCs consist of trichloroethene (TCE), tetrachloroethene (PCE), and 1, 1-dichloroethene [1, 1°DCE, which is a daughter product of 1, 1, 1-trichloroethane (TCA)]. The primary VOC of concern is PCE. See NOE for Details.
