Document Description
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit. The Old Stage Saloon added an ion exchange treatment plant in April 2019 to reduce nitrate concentrations from Well 01. Water produced by Well 01 does not meet the maximum contaminant level for nitrate and does not meet primary drinking water standards. The project included the addition of two ion-exchange reactors, an 80-gallon bladder tank, and less than 10 feet of 1" diameter copper piping. The entire footprint for the project is 1 O square feet (1' X 1 O'). The Water System is in process of conducting a pilot study of the treatment plant. Culligan Water Conditioning of Lindsay is contracted for monthly tank removal and any waste disposal.
