Document Description
The Project includes work along a solar generation tie line that provides connection between the proposed Pastoria Solar Project and the existing Pastoria Energy Facility Lebec switchyard east of the Project site. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of the fully protected and state endangered blunt-nosed leopard lizard (Gambelia sila), which is protected under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA) and Fish and Game Code section 5050 (fully protected species).The Project is expected to cause permanent impacts to 0.14 acres and temporary impacts to 1.49 acres of blunt-nosed leopard lizard habitat. All anticipated impacts will occur within previously disturbed areas such as established dirt roads. The Permittee will purchase 1.91 acres in Covered Species credits at a CDFW-approved mitigation or conservation bank to fully mitigate these habitat impacts in a manner that meets the conservation standard required by Fish and Game Code section 2081.15.
