Document Description
The City of Colton is proposing to construct and operate a community soccer park facility on 21- acres of a currently vacant 45-acre parcel of City-owned land adjacent to the Santa Ana River. The remaining approximate 24 acres of the project site would be retained as natural open space along the Santa Ana River. The proposed Project
would provide field space needed by local soccer teams for practice and games. The City has prepared a Conceptual Master Plan for the site that includes sports fields, parking, and other ancillary site improvements. This facility would help reduce the need for local soccer players and families to travel outside the City for practices and local games and would also allow the City to host local/regional soccer tournaments.
