Note: Refer to ND submitted on 8/16/19
The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments acting in its role as the Airport land Use Commission for Santa Barbara County, has prepared airport land use compatibility plans (ALUCPs) for Lompoc Airport, New Cuyama Airport, Santa Maria Public Airport, Santa Ynez Airport, and Vandenberg Air Force Base. The ALUCPs were prepared in compliance with the State Aeronautics Act (Pub. Util. Code § 21670 et seq.) and are planning documents intended to promote compatibility between the Airports and the surrounding environment. This is accomplished through regulation of future development of residential and non-residential land uses within each Airport's Airport Influence Area (AIA).
