The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), using State-only funds, is proposing a proj.ect that wou Id create a valley gutter to route excess storm water and sediment away from the State-owned sand house structure towards a single treatment BMP (traction sand trap}. This would prevent the facility from flooding.
