This is a routine maintenance project to upgrade existing facilities to ensure public safety. Work consists of cold plane AC pavement and placing Micro-surface (Type III), installing rumble strips, placing pavement delineation, backfilling digouts, crack treatment, and placing additional shoulder backing on existing shoulder backing.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is maintenance of an existing facility - SR 199 - to maintain the roads in proper working condition and ensure safety of the traveling public. There will be no expansion or change in the use of the facility or unusual circumstances. There are no impacts or significant effects to environmental resources or cultural/historical resources, and standard project practices will be implemented to ensure compliance will all applicable laws.
