Document Description
Repair the balconies, decks, stairs, benches, ramps, and walkways at the Warnecke buildings at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds to upgrade and improve the facilities. Work will:
• Repair and/or replace as needed all deteriorated wood decking and fascia boards with historically appropriate wood materials;
• Take all salvaged wood and sand, reuse in the location removed from, and seal with an exterior stain; and
• Refinish and/or replace metal guard rails and hangers on the balconies as necessary; and
• Replace rods, bolts and connectors as needed.

Project consists of the repair, maintenance or minor alteration of existing public or private structures or facilities involving no expansion of use beyond current levels and is included as 11 Utility repairs or minor upgrades" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR§ 15300.41 and the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced.
