Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0115-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Audubon Canyon Ranch. The project is limited to decommissioning the eroding, unstable stream crossing culvert and to restore the channel. The current road crossing on the unnamed tributary of McDonnell Creek consists of a 20-foot long corrugated metal pipe culvert, earth fill of undetermined consistency, and is faced with used tires. The fill, tires, and culvert in the road prism will be removed, approximately 100 cubic yards of earth fill and 5 cubic yards of tires. Approximately 1,500-square feet of the bank will be smoothed, the disturbed bank toe will be treated with rock riprap at least 2 feet high and three stream barbs will be installed. The disturbed bank above the rock will be treated with erosion control fabric and coir logs and heavily planted with native grass seeds and plugs, forbs, shrubs, and trees. No in-water work will be required .
