Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0039-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Contra Costa County Public Works Department.
The project involves to the replacement of an existing damaged 36-inch concrete culvert, stabilizing the embankment, and reconstructing the edge of the Sequoia Way/Deodara Way roadway. To accommodate the oew 36-inch pipe and outfall, vegetation will be cleared from top to toe of the bank of Alhambra creek, an area
approximately 14 feet wide by 40 feet long. Approximately 65 cubic yards of soil and material will be excavated from this area and the placement of 5-foot deep rock slope protection at a slope of 1.5:1. The area surrounding the pipe at the top of bank will be back-filled, and the paved area at the top of the embankment will be re-established . The project area will then be vegetated using native seed mixes and mitigation plantings.
