Document Description
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) has acquired up to 100 acre-feet of Nickel Water (Non-Project Water) located in Kern County from San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency (SGPWA). LADWP also has a permanent turnout located in Antelope Valley East Kern Water Agency's (AVEK) service area (AVEK's LADWP Turnout), which allows for direct deliveries of water from the California Aqueduct to LADWP's service area within The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's (MWDSC) service area via the Los Angeles Aqueduct. Under the proposed project, Kern County Water Agency (KCWA) will make available up to 100 acrefeet of Non-Project Water at Reach 14A of the California Aqueduct for subsequent delivery by the Department of Water Resources of the State of California (DWR) to AVEK's LADWP Turnout located at approximately Milepost 311.84 by December 31, 2019.
