Document Description
The project is a minor subdivision of a 61.5-acre property off Big Flat Road in the community of Big Flat near the South Fork Smith River. The subdivision would create three parcels approximately 20 acres in area. The General Plan land use designation of the property is Timberland and the property has historically been used for timber harvest activities. The subdivision would be considered a resource subdivision on resource lands. No land use designation or zoning change is occurring as part of this action. No residential development is proposed. Much of the project area is steep hillside suitable only for timber management as designated in the General Plan.
