Document Description
The project proposes construction of a new potable water pipeline as part of the Valley View Mobile Home Park Water Consolidation Project to address potable water public health concerns, reliability, and water quality for small water systems not currently connected to the CVWD potable water system. The project proposes the construction of up to 3,500 linear feet (0.67 mile) of potable water pipe, ranging in size from 30 to 32 inches in diameter, installed using open trench methods, except where it would cross under the Coachella Valley Stormwater Channel, Union Pacific Railroad, and Highway 111 using trenchless techniques. It would connect to the existing CVWD water mains on Palm Street and Airport Boulevard. Although the general location of the proposed pipeline has been determined, the precise alignment would depend on easements CVWD can obtain.
