Document Description
The Verano 8 Graduate Student Housing Project would include four to five midrise
residential buildings and 1,050 new graduate student beds. The project would also include a community center and an approximately 850-space parking structure with a replacement maintenance facility. The Long Range Development Plan (LRDP) Student Housing Amendment would amend the 2007 UCI LRDP to increase the student housing capacity to a total of 22,000 beds and two related land use modifications: 1) to restore a Student Housing designation on a six-acre portion of the Campus Village for future redevelopment of higher density student housing, and 2) to re-designate an undeveloped 12-acre parcel in the West Campus from Student Housing to Academic and Support.
