Document Description
Project Description goes here with details. The Project would undertake upgrades to the levee along the south bank of South Fork Gallinas Creek in the unincorporated community of Santa Venetia (north and east of the City of San Rafael). Proposed elements include: reconstruct an existing wooden structure, the Timber-Reinforced Berm, or TRB, that is a crucial component of the levee system that protects the neighborhood from flooding; reinforce one discharge pipe at Pump Station 2; and, safely abandon one pipe near Pump Station 5 Project construction is estimated to occur over two-three years starting as early as 2020. In addition to certification of this IS, regulatory permits from State and Federal agencies are required to construct these projects.
