Document Description
This project will remove vegetation from the three in-reservoir high-ground areas (10 to 15 feet). Reservoir levels will be adjusted for the in-reservoir work. Also, at the Afterbay toe near Larkin Rd. vegetation removal and install a new maintenance road on the downstream side of the dam toe.

There are a total of four work sites. Two on the in-reservoir side of the Forebay dam and two at the Thermalito Afterbay, one on the north in-reservoir side of the dam and one on the southeast outside of the dam.

Reasons for Exemption
This project is maintenance of an existing facility. The work will be done outside of the nesting bird seas,on and the giant garter snake active period. Hand tools will be used for the in-reservoir toe vegetation and ground disturbance will be minimal. All elderberry bushes will be buffered and avoided.
