The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is proposing to construct turnouts on SR 20 in Nevada County and SR 193 in Placer County. The purpose of this project is to ease traffic congestion on hilly portions of roadway and to minimize rear end collisions for motorists traveling too close to slow moving vehicles/trucks.
