Reasons for Exemption
The Project consists of installation of alternate or redundant cogeneration equipment with a capacity of 50 megawatts or less, and minor upgrades to existing biogas facilities on the site of the WWTP, an existing publicly-owned facility. Consistent with the categorical exemption outlined under Section 21083 of the Public Resources ode, the Project meets all criteria for a Class 29 exemption under Section 15329 (a)(1 )(2) of CEQA.
