Document Description
This Caltrans Project will reduce the frequency and severity of collisions on this roadway within the town of Willow Creek, and improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists by widening shoulders to meet current design standards. The Project is needed because the existing shoulder widths do not meet current standards and have resulted in collision rates that exceed the historical average. Caltrans proposes to widen shoulders from downtown Willow Creek to a residential area approximately 0.25 mile to the east. The final goal of the entire Project is to establish a better bicycle/pedestrian linkage between downtown Willow Creek and the residential, commercial, and bus stop areas to the east.
