Reasons for Exemption
The project proposes upgrades to the existing storefront of an existing commercial building. No additional square footage is proposed. The upgrades include new glazing, entry doors, framing system, and finish materials. Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines provides an exemption for minor alteration of private structures involving negligible or, in his case, no expansion of existing or former use.
