Reasons for Exemption
This project will involve the installation of 3 electric vehicle chargers and the construction of shade structure for the chargers to house the chargers at a transportation yard in East Palo Alto. The site where the shade structure will be constructed is currently used for transportation yard. The chargers will be used to charge new electric school buses that will replace existing diesel buses. This project therefore consists of the construction or replacement of a minor structure appurtenant to existing facilities. This project therefore falls under categorical exemption listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15311 . Further, none of the exceptions listed in CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 apply to this project.
