Title Cont.: 1600-2019-0159-R2) The project is limited to the repair and construction of crossings and water drafting necessary to implement the North Fork American River Shaded Fuel Break fuel. reduction project Specifically, the surface of an existing bridge over a tributary to the North Fork American River along Iowa Hill Road, known as Slaughter Ravine, will be scraped and cleared to allow for machine crossing and access. Private property roads will be graded and rocked to reduce sediment coming down the steep roads towards the watercourse-. A gate will be installed to prevent further degradation of the road. If needed, water from the watercourse will be drafted from the bridge, all intake hoses will be screened. Additional temporary crossings may be constructed as necessary.
