The project consists of building five coarse core riffle structures within the wetted channel in the 1.5-mile-long reach of the Shasta River, downstream of the Riverside Road crossing, immediately below Dwinnell Dam. These riffles will add channel complexity to the reach, changing the reach from a long run to adding several pool-riffle-run features.
