Document Description
The Sacramento Community Center Theater 21 kV Offsite Project (Project) consists of installing approximately 1,060 lineal feet of 21 kV duct and aluminum underground feeder cable (21kV underground line) between two junction points. The junction points are 1) an existing manhole within the pedestrian sidewalk on the west side of 15th Street just north of the intersection of 15th Street/Kayak Alley, and 2) a termination stub that is located on the north side of L Street within the pedestrian sidewalk and approximately 100 feet west from the intersection of 14th Street/K Street. SMUD has reviewed the proposed Project and has identified that it qualifies for an exemption from CEQA pursuant to Section 15061 (b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption) of the State CEQA Guidelines (Chapter 3 of Division 6 of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations). The activity is covered by the Common Sense Exemption that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. When it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA.
