Document Description
The objective of the proposed project is to install and demonstrate three distinct systems for a liquefied gas low rate production. The purpose of this project is to scale up manufacturing of this emerging technology to demonstrate the manufacturability and cost effectiveness of the battery. The primary market that will be impacted by the battery technology will be the energy storage. markets looking for lightweight and cost effective batteries. California IOU ratepayers will benefit through lower cost and lower carbon emissions by enabling further penetration of renewable's and increasing grid efficiency. Additionally, the liquefied gas battery benefits ratepayers by increasing safety through eliminating the risk of thermal runaway.
