Reasons for Exemption
This project is exempt under Cal.Code Regs.,tit 14, § 15301. This grant will fund design, development, installation and testing of sulfur thermal battery technology in existing manufacturing and testing facilities which will result in minor alteration of the existing facilities and involve negligible expansion to use and will not have a significant effect on the environment. Additionally, as to the 641 W. Rediine Avenue, Alameda, California location, the City of Alameda has determined the Ministerial Exemption under Pub. Resources Code§ 21080(b)(l); Cal. code Regs., tit 14, § 15268 is applicable pursuant to Alameda Municipal Code Section 30:-37.2.
