Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Stream bed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0051-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the City of Santa Cruz. The City of Santa Cruz uses a bridge (Newell Creek Access Road Bridge) to gain access to Newell Creek Dam and Loch Lomond Reservoir. The bridge spans Newell Creek and is supported by two in-stream piers and two abutments. In 2018, the City discovered that the foundation for pier 1 was partially exposed and the footing has been scoured. The proposed project will make repairs to the pier footing to prevent further scour.
