Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0069-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the City of Sacramento Park Operations Department, as represented by Shannon D. Brown. The project is limited to annual routine sediment removal from the concrete portion of the boat launch ramp at Garcia Bend Park. Up to 200 cubic yards of sediment over an approximately 6 feet by 121.6 feet area, or 0.02 acres, will be removed once a year. A front-end loader or excavator with a clam-shell attachment will be used to conduct the sediment removal. Sediment will be removed from the boat launch and deposited in a bermed area on the landslide of the park site to dewater. Once the sediment is dewatered it will be disposed of at an appropriated disposal site. A silt curtain will be placed as a barrier to control turbidity during project activities. Turbidity monitoring will also be conducted during project activities.
