Document Description
Pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1652, the California Department of Fish and
Wildlife has approved the Cooley Ranch Culvert Replacement submitted by Cooley Ranch Company. The Project includes the replacement of a failed 10-foot diameter culvert, that was washed away several years ago, with an open bottom arch culvert that will be approximately 10-feet tall, 20-feet wide, and 70-feet long which, spans Rail Creek at the confluence of Rail Creek and Dry Creek. Rock rip-rap slope protection and a concrete head-wall will also be constructed upstream and downstream of the new culvert. The total impact to the stream channel will be approximately 0.083 acres and 100 linear feet. The project will require crossing of the wetted channel of Dry Creek with heavy construction machinery to obtain construction site access.
