Document Description
The Project involves routing water from an existing storm drain and infiltrating it in a subsurface infiltration system within the park. The subsurface infiltration system has a footprint of approximately 60,000 square feet which requires excavating about 25 feet deep. Flows will be routed from existing storm drains through a modified manhole structure in three locations, two on First Street near the southeastern corner of the parkand one on Glenoaks Boulevard between Jessie Street and Griswold Avenue. The diversions from First Street will require a short length of pipe into the park, while the diversion from Glenoaks Boulevard will require approximately 4,500 feet of drain to be constructed along the alignment described above. Flows will be conveyed through pretreatment units that will remove trash and large particulate matter. The inclusion of the pretreatment system will improve the overall longevity of the system and promote a more centralized maintenance routine. Pretreated flows will be conveyed to the proposed subsurface infiltration system located within the park. The field within the park will be replaced to match current amenities and a new irrigation system will be installed.
This site is not included on lists of hazardous waste facilities identified by Section 65962.5 of the Government Code.
