Document Description
This Amendment (SWPAO #18035-A) amends the Agreement (SWPAO#18035) executed on January 28, 2019 between Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency (AVEK) and the Department of Water Resources of the State of California (DWR). SWPAO #18035 provides for the delivery of up to 2,000 acre-feet of AVEK's approved 2019 State Water Project (SWP) Table A water to AVEK's temporary diversion facility at approximately Milepost 366.53 in Reach 228 of the California Aqueduct's East Branch (Big Rock Creek Siphon Temporary Turnout). The Big Rock Creek Siphon
Temporary Turnout directly feeds into an adjudicated groundwater basin in the Antelope Valley region, which AVEK can store its SWP water supplies in and recover later using its own pumping wells for use in its service area. This Amendment extends the date to deliver AVEK's approved 2019 SWP Table A water to the Big Rock Creek Siphon Temporary Turnout from June 30, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
