Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wi ldlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0304-R1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Greenfield Ranch Association, represented by Toby Rodriques. The project is the diversion and impoundment of in-stream waters of Eldridge Creek for recreation and storage for emergency fire use. The point of diversion is a historic concrete dam, 23 feet tall and 40 feet wide. At the base of the dam is a fish-passable four-foot by four~foot gateway which can be shut with a sluice gate. Beside this gate Is an adjustable valve that allows bypass flow when the sluice gate is closed. The project impounds water from approximately May 15 to November 15 of each year, diverting no more than 10% of flow to fill the reservoir. Once
full, the project bypasses 100% flow. Drawdown of the reservoir results in no more than 120% flow, and includes measures to prevent the take of salmonids and other aquatic species that remain in the reservoir over the summer.
