Redding Electric Utility (REU) proposes to install electric vehicle charging station infrastructure at the gated access City Hall parking area located on Cypress A venue. The project will be constructed using state grant funding from the California Energy Commission, which is implemented by the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP). The project includes the installation of foundations, charging stations, pull boxes, meters, transformers, and electrical conduit. The existing main switch board will be modified to convey the power supply to the charging stations. Work will involve trenching, minor excavation, paving, striping, and sign installation.
