Pursuant to state law and University of California Procedures for Implementation of CEQA, the proposed project is categorically exempt under Article 19, 15301, Class 1, Existing Facilities and Class 31, Historical Resource Restoration. The project is exempt under Class 1 because it consists primarily of interior renovation work in an existing facility where there would be a nominal expansion of use beyond existing conditions.
