Reasons for Exemption
The District plans to retrofit all outdoor light fixtures with new energy efficient LED lighting. This project falls under repair, maintenance, and minor alteration of existing public facilities. The District is not adding light fixtures, therefore, there is no expansion in use. Furthermore, the purpose of the Project is to increase energy efficiency, and save utility and maintenance costs, which will have a positive benefit to the environment.
