Document Description
The purpose of the project is to stabilize the portion of the Lakey residence overhanging Fall River and replace the damaged foundation of the residence. Erosion underneath the foundation of the home resulted in the failure of the home foundation during the week of 10 December 2018. The remaining portion of the home was held up only by a few thin steel piles. Without immediate stabilization, the portion of the home overhanging the river was in danger of collapsing into Fall River.

The Central Valley Water Board has determined that the Project is categorically exempt from review under CEQA pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Article 19, Sections 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction) and 15304 (Minor Alterations to Land), Class 2 consists of replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced. Class 4 consists of minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes.
