Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2019-0102-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the Contra Costa Water District, as represented by Christine Schneider. The purpose of the Project is to repair Vine Hill Creek due to the deposition of sediment caused by an 8-inch water main failure at 50 Arthur Road, Martinez, CA. The Project shall be limited to the following actions:
1) Removing approximately 22 cubic yards of sediment;
2) Performing minor grading in the stream bank to repair erosion and protect the bank;
3) Removing a creek pipe crossing, steel drain pipe, east concrete pipe support, two existing valve cans above the east bank, and the west bank pipe support;
4) Installing new Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) pipe fastened to Arthur Road concrete culvert above ordinary highwater mark;
5) Removing and replacing 80 square feet of sidewalk;
6) Replacing 20 feet of chain link fence and 3 fence posts; and
7) Reseeding of the bank with native ryegrass or similar materials.
