Document Description
USACE & CVFPB propose to conduct geotechnical borings & geoarchaeological trenching along SREL to gather information for planned levee projects to protect Sacramento. Borings would be max 6-inch diameter & 135 ft deep. Trenches would be max 3 ft wide & 50 ft long. Work will be between beginning of June & end July 2019.

The project consists of explorations that will not result in a major disturbance to an environmental resource. No woody vegetation would be removed. No in-water work. The project would not impact state or federally listed species. Recreational paths would remain open. Borings & trenches will be backfilled upon completion and the sites will be restored to pre-project conditions. No mitigation is required.
