Reasons for Exemption
Pursuant to state law and University of California Procedures for Implementation of CEQA, the proposed project is categorically exempt under Article 19, Section 15303, Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures. The project is exempt because it consists of the installation of small new facilities, not exceeding: 10,000 square feet, and are in an area where water, sewage,. electrical, gas, and other utility extensions, including street improvements, are within a reasonable length to serve the structures:. Furthermore, per CEQA Section 15300.2, none of the exceptions to a categorical Exemption would apply.
